Theres no reason PS5 wouldn't play PS2 games. PS4 has a PS2 emulator built in which is what the PS2 classics run on. With PS5 being PS4 backwards compatible it is automatically going to have the ability to play PS2 games. The only question is if they unlock the PS2 emulator for disc access.
