I was just listening to Sgt Pepper's lonely hearts club band on vinyl and heard this noise at the end of the record, none of my other records have made this sound and I wondered if anyone knows is this is intentional and if so did the Beatles do it for a reason? The Hör Zu Version of Sgt. Peppers SHZE 401 is among the world's best sounding pressings imho. Let It Be 1C 062-04 433 Y on Apple Records sounds good, too. These are all the first german pressings i listened to so far. I also listened to the 1977 german repressings of Help (Hi, Hi, Hilfe) and The Beatles '65 .

This is my comparison between the UK first pressing of Sgt Pepper’s, and the Beatles in Mono CD version which was released in 2009. My equipment is as follows: Rega Planar 1 turntable; Art DJ Pre II preamp; Fosi V3 amplifier; Boston A25 speakers.
